Chateau de Valcombe produces wines in Costières de Nîmes, on the edge of the Rhône Valley. The property is owned and managed by Dominique Ricome, and his family. Valcombe's vineyards are covered with gallets rolés (round stones) like those of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The vines recieve plenty of sun, balanced by the cooling influences of the Mediterranean. The Ricome's were some of the first to plant Syrah so far south, and their experience shows.
