Château l’Ermitage
Château l’Ermitage is a 12th century property that used to belong to the hermits of the Abbey of Sainte Cécile d’Estagel, a stop on the pilgrimage route to Saint Jacques de Compostelle in Spain. Michel and Jérôme Castillon have 200 acres of vineyard that benefit from the southern exposure overlooking the Camargue (the Rhône river delta) and the Mediterranean Sea. This sun-drenched location provides excellent ripening conditions with a cool wind coming from the sea.
