The highly-touted 2005 vintage has introduced the pleasures of Burgundy’s Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays to a new generation of wine drinkers. Our Burgundy selection prominently features many wines from 2005 as well as some special wines from older vintages. We introduced Domaine d’Ardhuy earlier this year. This family-owned estate, has been called one of Burgundys most improved Domaines by Clive Coates MW who applauded the fact that, unlike many other producers, Ardhuy’s 2005 prices are not excessive. A newcomer to the list is Antonin Rodet with a variety of wines from various Burgundy communes as well as some stunners from two of Rodet’s own estates in the Côte Chalonnaise. Finally, there are many familiar favorites: the purity of Domaine des Malandes Chablis, the elegance of Jean Bernard’s St. Véran, the potency and fruit of Anne Parent’s Pinot Noirs, and the distinction of Roux’s Regis de Vallière wines.
