Choosing wines for Thanksgiving can be daunting. With the combination of hearty side dishes, sweet cranberry sauce, and Turkey, there is often confusion over what type of wine to serve. We’ve tried to simplify the process into the following basic rule: bigger, complex whites, and light- to medium-bodied reds should complement your meal. It would be easy for us to say buy Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and leave it at that, but we don’t like easy. Instead, below you will find a few quick suggestions followed by links to more detailed suggestions for not just reds and whites, but also rosé and Champagne wines.
If you would like to discuss our suggestions, or get more tailored recommendations, feel free to call 1-800-760-3960 and speak to one of our Wine Consultants. If you do decide to call, don’t forget to ask about our new arrivals, as we’re expecting some great new wines to be arriving throughout November.
Here are some of our favorites, but feel free to search for the style that suits you best.
