In the heart of the Côte de Nuits is one of its finest appellations, Gevrey Chambertin. The wines here have a reputation for being full-bodied and very rich. Rodet’s Gevrey Chambertin is made from grapes that are hand harvested and vinified in vats at a controlled temperature. After vinification, the wine matures for 16 months in French oak barrels (one third new).

Tasting Notes:

A classic, ruby colored Pinot with a touch of violet on the rim. This hearty wine delivers smooth black cherries and blackberry fruit and nutmeg flavors in the nose. Fruity and complex in the mouth, this smooth red is a classic Gevrey with well-integrated tannins, complex earth and spice flavors, fine wood integration and a long dark fruit finish. Enjoy with poultry, ham, grilled red meats, salmon or rich cheeses.
