Release Notes:
An alternative to the high priced wines of the Côte d’Or, Mercurey, in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, is where Antonin Rodet built its reputation. The grapes for this Mercurey are hand harvested and totally destemmed before fermenting in temperature controlled vats. The wine is then matured in stainless steel tanks for 13 months before bottling. Tasting Notes:A deep cherry red color with intense dark fruit and cherry flavors. In the mouth, this medium-bodied Burgundy is round and delivers a spicy finish on fine tannins. Enjoy now to 2010 with grilled beef or lamb, roasted poultry and rich cheeses.
