Blason d'Issan is made from the same 80 acre vineyard as the estate's 3eme Cru Classe wine, Chateau d'Issan. Over the past 15 years, there has been a noticeable uptick in the quality of Issan's wines as the property has reestablished its position among top dozen in Margaux. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (30%) is grown on Margaux's gravelly terroir. Blason spends 16 months in oak barrels (35% new) before bottling.

Tasting Notes:

A fine full-bodied Bordeaux with superb color and aromas. Red fruit fruits and spice yield to a beautiful finish. Perfect for lamb, roast chicken, and mushroom dishes.
