This is a big and robust Barbaresco with great personality. The Nebbiolo grapes for this wine hail from Asili, one of the most famous vineyards of Barbaresco. The wine spent 24 months aging in oak (50% in barriques and 50% in Slovenian oak casks). Robert Parker has praised Ca' Del Baio's Asili wines before calling them, "high quality wines... [with] significant extract, supple tannins, and a velvety texture."

Tasting Notes:

A dark brick tile colored wine with delicious aromas of cedar, red berries, plums and chocolate. Full-bodied with delicious layers of fruit and strong, supple tannins. A very long finish on fruit (black cherry). Drink 2008 to 2015 with stracotto, grilled meats, sausage and strong cheeses.
