Release Notes:
This rosé is a blend of Cinsault (60%), Grenache (35%) and Syrah (5%) harvested by hand from low-yielding vineyards. After sorting and de-stemming, the free-run juice begins fermentation in contact with the skins before completing fermentation in stainless steel tanks. short maceration period of a couple hours gives the wine its vibrant color and fruit flavor. Chênaie’s red wines are made from the same grapes, but with a much longer maceration – sometimes the wine stays in contact with the skins for a week or more imparting color and tannin to the wine. Tasting Notes:A beautiful pale salmon-pink colored wine. The nose has delicate aromas of strawberry and raspberry with a hint of mint and herbs. It is fresh on the palate with an array of fruit flavors ranging from peaches to berries to passion fruit. A very balanced wine with good acidity and a long refreshing finish. Serve chilled as an aperitif or with chilled soups (gazpacho), salads, cold cuts, or grilled vegetables. Full-bodied enough to stand up to grilled meats and sausages.
