Release Notes:
Vincent Girault's Château Gaillard has been producing wine organically and biodynamically since 1989. His Sauvignon is grown in a sandy plot from the Miocene era and is harvested in mid September to maximize the fruit aromas in the wine. After fermentation, the wine ages on its lees until April resulting in a wine of refinement elegance and a smooth finish. If you love Sancerre or New Zealand’s Sauvignon Blanc’s you must give Château Gaillard a try. Tasting Notes:A pale lemon colored wine with grapefruit, green apple, mineral and fresh-cut grass aromas. Delicately floral on the palate with citrus lime, grass and mineral flavors leading up to a smooth creamy finish. This wine is very balanced with typical silky Sauvignon Blanc texture and flavors. A great food wine, it can accompany appetizers, fried or roasted chicken, shellfish, pork dishes, salads, garlic, Mexican food, and brie or other soft cheeses. Drink now through 2010. Similar Wines
