Release Notes:
The 2006 growing season was hotter and drier than average, with hot weather in June and July followed by a wetter, cooler August, before temperatures took off once more in the first part of September. 2006 was a surprisingly good year that has been overshadowed by the remarkable 2005s. High quality, affordable wines are out there, including this small production St. Emilion (only 2,000 cases produced). Chateau Tour Puyblanquet is a blend of Merlot (65%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and Cabernet Franc (15%) made from hand-picked grapes. Tasting Notes:A deep red wine with abundant red fruit aromas and flavors. Great body from the Merlot with concentration, complexity and a supple, finish on silky tannins. An elegant St. Emilion. Serve with fine meats cooked on the grill, game, duck, lamb and cheese. Drink now through 2012. Similar Wines
