Château Tour de Goupin Red 2005		France
A great little Bordeaux from a small, family-owned estate near Castillon. The grapes come from organically cultivated vineyards.

The 2005 is a Merlot-based wine (60%) with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet France added to the blend. In 2005 Tour de Goupin, produced great classic Bordeaux wines with intense color, fresh fruit and rich tannins. This is a great Bordeaux value from organically farmed vineyards.

Tasting Notes:

An elegant red Bordeaux with a delicate nose of red berries and licorice. The palate is full of ripe red fruit and plum flavors – the Valpromy’s maintain that this richness is thanks to the lack of fertilizer. This wine has a velvety texture and a nice, smooth finish. Enjoy now to 2010 with grilled meats, barbecue, sandwiches and dry cheeses.
