Release Notes:
Chateau de Gueyze comes from the same estate as our perennial best-seller, the Baron d'Ardeuil Buzet. This wine comes from a rocky vineyard on the slopes above the Garonne river. The 25 year-old vines are noted for their ability to produce powerful and elegant wines. The 2000 vintage is a blend of Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (35%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) that was aged in oak for more than a year. This is one of the best Buzet and it has received numerous accolades. Production is very limited with just 1,800 cases produced per year. Tasting Notes:A beautiful garnet colored wine with a nose of ripe red plums and berries. On the palate, this wine has complex red plum, raspberry, and tobacco flavors.
