Release Notes:
Malbec is a French varietal little used in Bordeaux but much more used inland in regions like Cahors and Bergerac. There, it is called Cot but it is the same as Malbec. Malbec has done extraordinarily well in Argentina whereas Malbec in Bordeaux is austere and can only be added in very small doses. In Mendoza, Malbec is generous, fruity, and can be made as a wine alone. When aged in oak, it acquires even more complex flavors and its structure becomes smooth and silky. Tasting Notes:Winery: Dolium is a boutique winery in Luján de Cuyo, the best part of Mendoza. Their vineyards benefit from the high-altitude, low-humidity growing conditions.
