Release Notes:
This wine is a blend of 75% Colombard and 25% Ugni Blanc. Not surprisingly, these varietals are used to make French brandy (both Cognac and Armagnac) and Ugni Blanc is also widely planted in Italy where it is known as Trebbiano. In the verdant Côtes de Gascogne, these grapes produce fresh, aromatic wines that are very pleasing to the senses. Domaine d'Uby even conducts its harvest at night to keep the harvested grapes from hot sun preserving the fresh, fruity flavors. Tasting Notes:A light white wine, the nose offers a lovely blend of citrus, exotic fruits and apple blossoms. On the palate this is a light-bodied wine with great fruit sensations, deliciously crisp with a refreshing finish. We have found it a very pleasant wine to drink both as an aperitif and with food such as salads, goat cheese, fish, or other seafood. Drink in the next year or two. ![]() The beautiful Uby estate Winery:Domaine d’uby is a renowned producer located in Armagnac in the heart of Gascony.
