A soft, voluptuous Côte Rotie from Jean-Michel Gerin, one of the stalwarts of the Northern Rhône.

Champin le Seigneur is a blend of Syrah (90%) and Viognier (10%) like most traditional Côte Rotie. The vines are situated mid slope and have southeastern and southern exposure on the steep mica schist of Côte Rotie. A quarter of the vines are more than 50 years old.

Unlike his neighbors, Gerin’s wines spend just 18 months in oak (50% new) and are unfined and unfiltered, retaining fruit and making them approachable young.
