A red Rhône-style blend of Syrah and Grenache from popular Languedoc producer, Domaine la Croix Belle. Medium bodied with good fruit and spice.

Although we have offered many of their wines over the years (including the sublime No. 7 Red and No. 7 White), this is the first time we have offered Le Champ du Coq, their Rhône-style blend of Syrah and Grenache. This excellent red blend will please fans of Rhône wines with its combination of fresh red fruit and spice.

Tasting Notes:

A medium ruby colored wine with red and black berry fruit aromas. On the palate, fresh and stewed fruit flavors meld with spice, pepper and herb (rosemary and thyme) notes. This surprisingly full-bodied wine has good concentration, medium tannins and a nice finish on fruit. Enjoy with stews, grilled meats, sausages, casseroles, and sandwiches now to 2009.
