Release Notes:
The 2007 La Borry is 100% Viognier. Half of the grapes were aged in stainless steel, the other half in oak for nine months. This more structured Viognier has complexity, but remains crisp and aromatic.
Tasting Notes:
A pale golden color precedes a rich nose of white flowers, orange blossoms, melon, stonefruit and honeydew. A medium-bodied wine, La Borry is grippy with good acidity, and flavors of citrus and white peaches with lovely oak notes leading up to a smooth spicy finish. This wine is ready to enjoy now through 2011. It is a great wine for gatherings as it can be consumed as an aperitif, with seafood and fish, with white meats in sauces, or with ripe cheeses.
