Release Notes:
This wine comes from a small vineyard and was aged in oak barrels for 24 months before bottling. Only 250 cases produced; Robert Parker called Pichat’s 2003 a “pleasant surprise.” Tasting Notes:A deep ruby colored wine with very concentrated blackberry, olive, currant, oak and toast aromas. Extremely concentrated on the palate, with a great, rich body of fruit and a terrific, powerful finish. Open an hour or two before serving to let breathe. Will be at its best from 2008 through 2012. Serve with leg of lamb, roasted duck, game, or cow’s milk cheeses. Region:Côte-Rôtie, or the “roasted hillside,” produces some of the best Syrah in the world. Similar Wines
