Release Notes:
This wine is made from old vines grown in limestone soil. The Pinot Noir is hand-harvested and destemmed before vinification. The wine is then matured for a year in french oak (one third new) from the Bertranges forest, recognized for its subtlety, which allows the fruit flavors to develop. Tasting Notes:A bright garnet red color. On the nose it has aromas of black cherries with earthy notes. The palate is dominated by black raspberry and blackberry flavors. This Pommard is well-structured with a big fruity finish. This wine is perfect with big, flavorful dishes like pork roasts, venison, grilled chicken and red meat. Drink now to 2012.
