Domaine de Raissac has been in the same family since 1823. The Chateau is built on top of the ruins of a Roman villa. It is located in center of Languedoc near the town of Beziers. The wines are made in ancient cellars that were carved out of a rocky hilltop in an early form of temperature control. Chardonnay grapes from different parcels of vineyard were vinified separately to make the Le Parc, a fruity and expressive wine typical of the best Languedoc producers.

Tasting Notes:

Beautiful yellow gold color. Complex and generous nose with some floral, almond, and even mango aromas. Good attack. Relatively intense palate of pear and exotic fruit flavors. Ideal alone or with salads, vegetables or poultry. Drink over the next couple of years.
