Caves du Prieuré, the producers of our best-selling white Sancerre, also produces a small amount of the rare Sancerre rosé. Made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown on chalky soils.

Caves du Prieuré, relies on low-yielding vineyards planted on limestone soils rich in flint deposits, and a strict selection of the grapes to ensure under-ripe fruit does not get into the fermentation vat. They are written up every year in the Hachette guide as one of the finest small producers of Sancerre.

Tasting Notes:

A light but fragrant bouquet of red fruit. “Refreshing” and “Crisp” were word that came to mind when the wine hit the palate. Finishes with more red berry and mineral hints.
