Release Notes:
A fruity and spicy wine made from 100% Cabernet Franc grown in five vineyard plots across the Chinon region. Like much of the rest of France, 2005 was an excellent vintage in the Loire.
Tasting Notes:
A brilliant ruby colored wine with raspberry, blackberry, herb, and roasted green pepper aromas. A smooth medium-bodied attack with cherry fruit, blackcurrant, chocolate, spice, and pepper flavors. Good complexity and concentration precedes a long finish on spice with supple tannins. Chinon is one of the few red wines that
works with grilled fish, especially salmon. It also compliments ham, poultry, lamb, and hard cheeses. Drink now through 2012.
