Release Notes:
Domaine des Lauriers is an estate in the Côteaux de Languedoc that is recognized for its white wines. Their vineyards lie on a hillside that has very cool nights in August and September, accentuating Viognier’s aromatic characteristics. The grapes are even harvested at night to preserve freshness! The resulting wine is fresh and fruity, and shows off the floral, peach and apricot aromas and flavors of Viognier. Tasting Notes:A pale yellow-golden colored wine with an intense nose of acacia flower, anise, spice and exotic fruit aromas. The palate is full of exotic and stone fruit flavors (lychee, peach, and apricot) that combine to give a fragrant, full-bodied yet mellow mouthfeel with complexity and a soft finish. An excellent aperitif, Viognier pairs beautifully with white fish, cream sauces, chicken, and moderately spicy foods. Serve chilled now to early 2009.
