Release Notes:
Gratius is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which come from the estate’s oldest vines. After being carefully harvested by hand and fermented, the wine spent 14 months in French oak barrels. A rich Tuscan red that received two Bicchieri, and was a finalist for a third, at the prestigious Gambero Rosso tastings.
Tasting Notes:
Their third award-winning wine, the Gratius, is 100% Sangiovese. A dense, dark ruby red wine with a generous nose of black cherries, berries, chocolate, tobacco, pepper and spice. A well-structured wine with good balance and complexity featuring concentrated red and black fruit flavors with hints of wood, chocolate and coffee, followed by a nice, long finish. Drink 2007 through 2015 with a variety of dishes including lamb, game, deer, steak, Beef Wellington and aged cheeses
