Release Notes:
By fermenting in temperature-controlled stainless steel Kinderwood can preserve the fruit flavors and aromas of its wines. It's chardonnay is made from grapes grown in Monterey’s Salinas Valley. This region, part of California’s Central Coast AVA, also produces much of California’s lettuce and vegetables on the valley floor. The vineyards, however, lie 1,000 feet up on the slopes of hills and high plateaus. Here, the cooling effects of the elevation and breezes off the Pacific Ocean, combined with the plentiful water from irrigation from the underground Salinas River, make this an ideal area for producing fresh and fruity Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes:
A bright golden colored wine with a blend of tropical fruit, pear, and green apple aromas. This wine is an unoaked Chardonnay with crisp tropical fruit and apple flavors, and a hint of spice and mineral notes. The finish is balanced and refreshing. Perfect for entertaining, this wine is a great aperitif or accompaniment to sandwiches, salads, chicken, and seafood. Drink now to 2009.
