Release Notes:
Seuil de Mazeyres is the estate’s new second wine. It is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). It is aged for 18 months in oak barrels (one third new) before being released. It is made to drink sooner than Château Mazeyres. Tasting Notes:Deep garnet color. Elegant red fruit and dried fruit aromas. Full-bodied and smooth, with an unctuous fruity palate. Very well-balanced with soft, supple tannins, and a long finish of fruit and smoke. A rich wine that will continue to improve for 6 to 7 more years. Perfect with steak, roast chicken, duck, and lamb chops. ![]() The church of Pomerol with vineyards in the foreground. Winery:Châteaux Mazeyres is a very old estate in Pomerol.
