They are a showcase for Pinot Noir, whose elegance and finesse can be masked by the more powerful wines from neighboring Vosne and Gevrey. Régis de Vallière is a special selection made by the Roux family from St. Aubin. This wine comes from a clay and chalk vineyard just outside the village of Chambolle. It is handharvested and spends 16 months aging in oak. Tasting Notes:A beautiful, deep cherry red colored wine with an attractive nose of red fruit, spice and berries. On the palate, this soft, supple, and seductive wine has round, opulent red fruit and berry flavors with touch of spice and vanilla on the long, smooth finish. A well-balanced red Burgundy, this Chambolle will complement the finest dishes from roast beef and game to chicken paillard and fresh cheeses. It is gorgeous now, but can cellar until 2012. Winery:Roux Père et Fils and its special selection under the Régis de Vallière label are made by the Roux Family. The family has lived int he village of St. Aubin,... Read more Similar Wines
