Régis de Vallière is a special selection of Roux Père et Fils’ best wines. Their Volnay Premier Cru comes from the Santenots vineyard, which lies on the border of Meursault and Volnay. After a hand harvest, the wine spent 9 months aging in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

An extremely dark cherry-red colored Pinot Noir with sweet red fruit, licorice and anise aromas. On the palate, this wine has great fruit and mouthfeel. Flavors of red berries and red plums are mingled with hints of spice and anise. It is full-bodied and round with a deep, elegant finish. A great accompaniment to fowl, beef, and pork dishes as well as strong cheeses and garlicky foods. Can cellar until 2012 to 2018. Our Rating 92+
