Release Notes:
Selva del Moro Chianti Classico is made from 100% Sangiovese that is vinified and aged in oak casks for 18 months. A fantastic value from Chianti the Selva del moro is round and easy-drinking with succulent red-berry fruit, earthiness and moderate complexity. Fewer than 700 cases are produced a year, so quantities are limited.
Tasting Notes:
Very pleasant aromas of red fruit, berries and licorice. A full-bodied and round wine on the palate with cherry fruit, spice, and some wood flavors. A nice dry finish with earthy complexity. The perfect wine for simple Italian fare (pizza, pasta, etc), summer barbecues, sandwiches and picnics. Drink now to 2011.
