Release Notes:
Unlike most IGT Super Tuscans, Signano's example is a DOC wine. Since 1996, producers like Signano have been able to use the Rosso di San Gimignano DOC for their finest red blends.
Signano's example is a blend of Sangiovese (85%), Merlot (8%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (7%) that spent 18 months in barrel and a further 6 in bottle before release.
Tasting Notes:
A superb dark colored wine with aromas of dark cherry and spice. In the mouth, the dark cherry flavors are blended with smooth, well-integrated tannins on top of a deliciously complex core. This rich and vibrant wine has refreshing acidity, smooth full-bodied texture and an intense, seductive and lingering finish. Enjoy now to 2015 with your favorite lamb, game, or roast dishes and aged cheeses.
