Like many other Valpolicella Superiore, a mixture of traditional methods and modern technology are used to grow the grapes and make this wine. Corvina is the dominant grape in Valpantena's Valpolicella Superiore. A small amount of Rondinella and Molinara is also blended into this wine for additional fragrance and flavor. The Corvina grapes that dominate the blend are hand-picked and partially dried in small boxes. The wine is then fermented slowly at low temperatures to extract color and fruit flavors.

Tasting Notes:

This ruby colored wine has brilliant aromas of cherries, red berries and almonds. The fruit flavor continues across the palate accompanied by a marriage of light tannins and soft fruit. On the beach, you can serve this wine slightly chilled with tuna, charcuterie (cold cuts), sandwiches and chicken salad. Also excellent with pizza, pasta with red sauces, chicken or veal. Can age for another year or two.
