Release Notes:
Múrice means “purple-colored” in the local dialect. It is a blend of Tempranillo (90%) with a small amount of the spicy and rare grape Graciano (10%) added for complexity. The grapes come from vineyards planted on abandoned opencast mines. Ijalba uses no chemical fertilizers and its wines are 100% organic; this careful approach to viticulture shows through in the wine. Múrice’s lush fruit flavors are complemented by the smooth creamy texture, a result of extended barrel
aging. An excellent Rioja Crianza.
Tasting Notes:
A dark cherry red colored wine with an attractive nose of red berries (strawberries) and chocolate. This rich, round wine with a spectacular mouthfeel is full of smooth leather, spice and vanilla flavors and silky
tannins before a big finish on spice, sage and tobacco. Enjoy now to 2012 with roast chicken, turkey, boar, ribs, pork, grilled
meats and fine cheeses.
