This process, known as “de lagrima” or “from teardrops” ensures that the freshest and fruitiest juice makes it into the wine without the harsh tannins and green flavors that come from crushing the stalks and pips.

Navarra, unlike its neighbor Rioja, has long been noted for its high quality rosé wines. The Viña Sardasol bodega dates back to the 1950s when a group of small winemakers joined forces to share winemaking techniques and marketing.

Tasting Notes:

A bright ruby-pink colored wine with fresh strawberry and other berry aromas. Refreshingly crisp and clean on the palate with strawberry, peach, orange and nectarine fruit flavors. Good acidity and a bone dry finish, a superb and seductive everyday rosé. A perfect complement to flavorful fish and poultry dishes, salads, light fare, or as an aperitif. Also perfect for summertime Spanish cuisine like Paella. Drink now through 2010.
