Release Notes:
Navarra might be more famous for the annual running of the bulls in its capital, Pamplona, but this region, at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains, produces some great wines. Like its more famous neighbor, Rioja, Navarra’s best wines use Spain’s ubiquitous Tempranillo grape. Viña Sardasol comes from Bodega Virgen Blanca, one of Navarra’s best producers.
Tasting Notes:
A bright cherry colored wine with a sweet nose of cherries and red berries. In the mouth, the pleasant soft red fruit attack is complemented by a touch of tobacco, earth and plum flavors. An extremely easy-drinking, medium-bodied wine with a soft, silky finish on wild berry fruit. Enjoy with charcuterie, risotto, roast chicken, grilled meats and vegetables. Drink now to 2012.
